We started the chassis prep at 12:50 - leaving no real time for lunch.
First step is to disconnect the driving train.
We then worked on the re-position of the engine.
The gas tank has to be remounted with special new bars across the rear.
The engine is lifted and moved back about 32 inches.
New transmission mounts were welded to the sides about 32 inches back from its original position.
The engine is repositioned with a new engine cross-member made from the old transmission cross-member.
Around 5:30 p.m. all welding is finally done and the frame was taken off for some serious pressure cleaning.
