Prepping The Frame
First we completely strip the donor car down to the bare frame.
We then sand blast the entire frame. Once the frame is completely clean, we add the new supports for the modified Midget body, the transmission,
gas tank, and the front nose section. The front and rear bumper mounts are shortened and the support for the
luggage rack is added after the installation of the gas tank cover.
A coat of rust resistant paint is then applied. New brake and fuel lines are secured to the frame. We are now ready to mount the drive train.
We are now ready to lower the body onto the frame and permanently bolt it to the chassis. The Midget is securred to the frame by six body mounts, four in the original factory positions and two in re-positioned locations (from the very rear of the car to the mid-section of the frame).
